Who do you think you are?

Sometimes I feel like an introvert.  An introvert is someone who seeks comfort and gains productive momentum by thinking about creative pursuits, pondering philosophies, trying experiments, and researching theories alone.  I believe most creative endeavors require introspection and intuition to conjure and capture a plethora of ideas, so it makes perfect sense to think of myself as an introvert.

However, other times I feel like the complete opposite— an extrovert.  I am energized by talking to various people and befriending perfect strangers to hear about their personal stories and their adventures in life.  Small groups can inspire me to learn and to conjure even more creative ideas.

It is fair to see that I could be an ambivert--someone who is a mixture of both.

That is until I realized what I really think I am—a naturvert.

No, this is not a real word or scientific classification but rather something I conjured up.

Naturvert  [nature-vert]

One who seeks energy and inspiration by surrounding oneself in nature.

The alarm clock comes mighty early.

The blowing crisp air will be a difficult contrast to that soft, warm bed.

The top of that mountain seems it will never be reached.

Despite the challenges that confront me, I will never regret trekking out to the unknown realms of nature to see what I may find.

No matter what, I always leave nature recharged.

So let me ask, are you a naturvert?
