Bandon Beach in Oregon is a dream.
Especially for photographers.
Every single step of the thousands I took over the course of four days would lead me to yet another different way of composing this beach through my camera.
As the light and the tide changed from hour to hour, the scenes would change in dramatic and extraordinary ways.
One day, I spent 10 hours on the beach, slowly roaming around attempting to cover every square inch. I don't wear a watch, so when I looked at the clock after returning home from an early morning outing, I felt like I arrived back home through a time warp.
It is with great pleasure to show you some memorable experiences at Bandon Beach.
I wandered aimlessly around the exposed rocks at low tide until I found this compelling scene.
A wind advisory explains this dramatic scene. Waves crashed against this outcropping over and over and this time lapse shows the wrath of it all.
When there are so many beautiful pieces of the puzzle, I had to stand back to try to capture it all.
This subdued scene features Wizard's Hat, one of the most popular named rocks on Bandon Beach.
Another famous rock called Face Rock had me waiting until the perfect moment.
The residing waters from the tide left me in awe of all the wonderful shapes and patterns of Bandon Beach.
It was as if by magic, a majestic sea ferry carried this starfish and plopped it in the perfect place. I was astounded to discover this scene as I walked around the rock from the opposite side.
This moment is one I will always remember. The evening sun finally started to poke through the clouds and bathed the scene in amazing soft light.
The amazing waves bounced around the rocks. This was one of the very first pictures I took and was excited to see what was in store.
The wind gusted and the waves formed layers of intrigue.
Put Oregon's Bandon Beach on your list as must-see places. It's simply amazing and I can't wait to go back!
