Are you ready for the big event? Get your popcorn.
On August 21st, our tiny neighborhood here in the Milky Way galaxy is going to be putting on a show for us.
In this rare event, the United States will see a solar eclipse, with a complete blockage being seen by a strip of people here in the United States.
The moon will pass directly in front of the sun, completely blocking the sun’s rays. It will turn from day to night in just minutes, and only last for 1-2 minutes.
I’m not missing it, that’s for sure. And rest assured, my camera will be ready to go for the show.
If you plan on staring at the dazzling show, make sure to get some trusty glasses to help protect your eyes from the damaging brightness of the sun.
I picked up a 10-pack of these Soluna glasses, and there are various other kinds, so you might want to get them now. You never know if there might be a shortage.
If you're thinking about getting closer to the path of complete mayhem, i mean total eclipse, then you can check out a closer look on a state-by-state basis.
Enjoy the show and if all goes according to plan (because it always does, right?), I’ll be showing you some cool solar eclipse photos.
